Big Boss

Big Foreman is a famous person game show that is the Indian version of UK's Big Brother. The show is a world show where 13 people had to dwell in the house of Big Foreman for three calendar months without television, radio, music players, newspaper, novels etc. under the examination of photographic cameras everywhere.

Sounds interesting, doesn't it? Well, truly, if you didn't see it, then you surely did lose something. It was a show full of masala and chitchat where at one end of the house some people were seen romancing, and at the other end, some were seen deciding on the game plan.

This brought out a new side of the people that we see in some word form or the other in movies, telecasting serials, or even music videos.

Seeing nil but each other's confront all twenty-four hours long and all nighttime at a stretch, and yet not able to respond as one would wish to because of the photographic cameras all around was something that would have got depressed anyone on this planet, leave of absence alone the 13 fateful ones! They had undertakings to be completed given by the Big Boss. On successful completion they would be awarded something and on not completing it, they would be deprived of something from their day-to-day needs.

In short, this show telecasted 13 people living on the caprices and visualizes of the Big Boss. I believe the show did immensely increase the TRPs of the dying channel. The people had to vote each other out giving two name calling and their precedences that they wanted to except from the Big Boss' House.

Then according to majority, people with most ballots were opened for public vote system, and viewing audience had to vote for the 1 they wanted to see in the show. This also initially created an air of confusion as to whom to vote for? They were confused whether they had to vote for the 1 to be eliminated from the Big Boss' House or the 1 to be retained.

This show was very popular owing to the gossip, the new side of celebrities, their life style of exclusion, Big Boss' suspense trips and surprises, the melodrama, the romance, the bogus sympathies, the bitching around etc.

Thus, rightly it was called "Daily Soaps Ka Baap."
